How we can work together
-
Relationships are complex and require ongoing attention. Couples Therapy can be a healthy step to help strengthen connection and intimacy, heal from betrayal, and manage conflict.
-
Couples intensives are a way to accelerate your progress, based on the same approaches used in our traditional couples therapy model.
My Approach
I have been in private practice in Charlotte since 2005, and practiced previously in the triangle prior to relocating to Charlotte. I received my Masters in Social Work from UNC Chapel Hill. I focus on getting to know my client's well, and together we develop a plan for our work together. We start with understanding what led you to seek support, and build from there. My primary work with couples is based on Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Drs. John and Julie Gottman, through their research and work with the Gottman Institute have over 40 years of research and practice that inform what we know about both what works AND what doesn’t work in relationships. As a Certified Gottman Therapist I am able to help guide you in building the relationship you most desire.
We all have the capacity for change and healing.
How can I support you?
I know that finding the right therapist can be overwhelming. I hope to make the process a little easier. Take a look at the information provided here, but feel free to reach out. I always like to speak with prospective clients before getting started. The relationship you have with a therapist will be the most important part of what makes it successful for you.
