Fees and Policies
I am a private pay, or out-of-network provider, and do not accept insurance.
Couples therapy begins with a thorough assessment of your relationship. The fees for the assessment sessions are:
Initial 90-minute joint session: $300
Individual sessions (50-minutes): $200
Gottman Connect Questionnaires: $150
Feedback and Goal Setting session (90-minutes): $300
The recommendation for ongoing sessions is 80-90-minutes, however, depending on schedules and goals we may also schedule 50-minute sessions.
When we schedule our first appointment, you will both receive an invitation to create an account with a client portal. All necessary paperwork will be found there. Included in your new client paperwork is a request for credit card information. This credit card information is encrypted and kept with my processing bank. You can choose a different form of payment at the time of your session, but I ask to keep this information on file. This allows us to spend our session focused on your goals and needs and not managing payment.
Payment is due at the time of your appointment. Payments can be made with your card on file, including FSA or HSA cards, or by cash or check.
What to Expect
-
To get started we will first schedule a brief call to make sure we are a good fit for working together. During that call you will be able to share a little about what you are looking for and your needs, as well as ask any questions you may have about my approach and work.
-
Upon scheduling your appointment, both partners will be sent a link for a client portal where you will be able to complete all of the opening paperwork. The portal also has a confidential messaging system, allows for scheduling, and financial statements can be found there.
-
The work with a couple and their therapist is completely confidential. You must provide written consent for me to consult or discuss your care with anyone, including family members. The only exception is if there is a concern for safety. Please see the Services Agreement for additional information.
-
When you schedule an appointment I reserve that time to focus exclusively on you and your needs. If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment I ask that you provide 48-hours notice. Without appropriate notice of cancellation, you are responsible for the full fee for the appointment, regardless of attendance.
Offering Telehealth
Telehealth offers a convenient, accessible option when time or location would otherwise be a barrier.
SOME QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE
-
My model of couples therapy does not fit the insurance model, therefore I do not file insurance for couples therapy.
-
When you become a client, you will be given access to a client portal which has a secure messaging program. This is the safest, most secure way for us to communicate. In cases of emergency, I can be reached by phone (704-654-5291).
